Pre Match Review - 24th May 2009
Sunday morning K.O. T minus 1 hour - could I ask that all parents possessing a Rocky DVD to stick it on and leave the boys for 30 minutes. Hopefully after experiencing what a physical side play like last Friday, we can find the happy medium and start to compliment our new found silky skills with some grunting big hits and horrible, fast and determined straight running? Alternatively I always find a litre of lucozade, a sherbet dip and a sugar dummy at 8am on game day works wonders for my boy!
The 8s have played Roose at the Dalton festival and although they ran out comfortable winners the scoreline wasn't reflective of the game with the Roose side going close on several occasions. If we carry on from the final whistle against Millom we'll have nothing to worry about. If we continue to run into touch and to miss tackles then we may get a shock.
The 10s also narrowly lost 6-4 to Roose at the festival in what I believe was a very exciting game. As a team we're taking shape nicely with new guys Singo, Declan, Wazzer and Elliott all adding to the team dynamic and the focus still being 85% on "where's the hot dogs" and 15% "what was the score?" which is perfect!
CAN WE PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MATTY IS CURRENTLY SITTING AT 99 TRIES SINCE HE STARTED AND SHOULD HE SCORE ON SUNDAY, WILL REACH THE MAGICAL 100. HE DESREVES A BIG CLAP IF HE DOES.
Roose play next to Roose Cons at the Rampside roundabout. Park in Roose Conservative Club Car Park and there's a little cutting in front of the club house where dogs tend to leave eggs for some reason so be careful!
U8s meet at 10am prompt please and U10s meet at 1030 prompt please.
