Pre Match Review - 21st June 2009

We know that Barrow Island are the benchmark in the area and as a club we strive to achieve their numbers and their success both on and off the pitch.

The 8s provided us with a brilliant high scoring game last time out and we're hoping for more of the same this time round. The 10s need to man up and compliment the game they have developed so successfully with the channeled aggression I spoke about earlier.

 As supporters you can certainly do your bit by raising the volume and keeping it there throughout both games. I'd encourage the 8s parents to stay and watch the 10s and provide that "extra man" we currently need at times.

Also...please can I ask that everyone has their order for merchandise in on Friday (everything but the replica playing kit). I've left it as long as I could and we now need to get the order in to allow time for production by ONeills. Any orders after Friday for the embroidered kit (T Shirts, Hoodies etc.) will go in with the next batch.

Early indications were that we'd need two coaches for the Wigan trip. We have to provide Wigan with numbers for match tickets and stadium tour and to pay for these numbers up front. I need monies urgently for tickets and tour to allow me to give Wigan an indication of numbers. To date 4 (four) people have paid. Now's the time to pay up please as I won't use club money to pay for tickets that might not be used - I'm sure you understand. Friday night training (top pitch) or Sunday game (top pitch) are the ideal opportunities to book your place. If numbers are still low after this weekend I'll reduce the coach to one and it will be strictly on a first come basis and those that expressed an early interest could potentially lose out. These things have a habit of creeping up on us and here we are!
