UPDATE - 7th June 2010
Millom are unable to play the Sunday fixture this weekend and have asked to switch to the Friday evening instead. In order for us to get the game on I’ve said yes but I’m assuming that everyone is all socialled out following the Walney game?
The 8s will kick off at 545 followed by the 10s. This gives us an hour of training beforehand from 5pm and we’ll take this opportunity to do this session and fix some of the things that tripped us up last weekend. We’ll do the hot dogs and tuck shop as per the Sunday for food unless there’s a tidal wave of requests for an alternative.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
We revert back to the normal 8s and 10s next week for what is always an entertaining fixture.
The 8s won the reverse fixture but Millom are a team that should never be underestimated and from experience are a team that improve rapidly over the course of a season.
Big games will be expected from LJ and Spencer as the old heads and more good stuff from Morgan and Ethan should allow the others to play their own games.
The 10s can kick on from the first half performance against Walney and ask themselves questions defensively against what is always a hard running and free passing team.
I tell the kids every week, where we’re quite advanced in our attacking game we are struggling in defence. Let’s see some big hits around the legs this week people!
