Hawcoat Storm - Est: 2008

There's a Storm Brewing!!

Pre Match Review - 4th June 2010

Friday sees us welcome Walney who have asked (and I agreed) to play the following games. Under 7s at 5pm until 530pm followed by the older kids in the 8s group from 530pm until 6pm. This will give all the 8s an opportunity for some game time but we’re very dependent on everyone’s availability to allow us to play both games so please try and get to the top pitch in time for a 5pm kick off. Peter did such a good job at Millom he’s been promoted (not that he knows it yet) to full time 7s and 8s coach (assuming that was a grin and not a grimace). I’ll be reffing the youngsters games so Pete will be as busy as he was at Millom. All games will be played on the top pitch as our section can read the keep off the grass signs on the bottom pitch.

The 10s will then face the sternest opposition we’ve had this year for a second time and will need to be at their defensive best if they are to demonstrate how far they’ve come since the bleary eyed stuttering starts of early March. Prepare for fireworks as we take on an extremely good Walney side. If the 10s can get there early to shout on the little squids I know it will help.

Following the games we’ve asked Walney to stay and enjoy some of our famous post match hospitality in the bar and as Jai mentioned we should all have our discount cards handy for a good battering! We will be putting on some food for our parents and visitors that I’m assuming will be a BBQ weather permitting or a buffet if it’s raining. I’ll keep you posted when someone volunteers to help Mrs. B.
